Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Aline Glynn Ross Ward, 77, of Glen White, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

Born November 10, 1937 in Tams, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gracie Ross.

Aline was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, for over 50 years and Winding Gulf Music Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Leonard ôRailö Davis and Carl ôPookieö Ward; brothers, Alfonso, Lonzo, Walter, Russell, William, Clyde, Calvin, Samuel, Milton, Malvin, and Bernard and sisters, Gracie and Effie.

Left to cherish precious memories are her husband, Carl R Ward; sons, Thomas (Lisa) Ward of Waco, Texas and Ronald (Angela) Ward of Montgomery, WV; daughters, Mary Alice (Linwood) Heath of Seaside, CA, Sonja (Art) Applewhite of Kerriville, TX and Xavier (Maurice) Goodall of Richmond, VA; brothers, Sherman (Pam) Ross, of Beckley, WV, Houston (Janice) Ross of Columbus, OH; sister Martha (John) Dowling of Brooklyn, NY; sisters-in-law, Gwen (Bishop John) Grant of Beckley, WV, Phyllis Chappell of Baltimore, MD and Lillian Ross of Newport News, VA; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be1:00 pm, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Winding Gulf Music Convention Center, 206 Carver Circle, Glen White, WV, with Rev. Onnie Cook and Pastor Sandra Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to service at convention center.
