Obituary For Mrs. Andrea D. Jones-Thompson

Mrs. Andrea D. Jones-Thompson, 42, of Christiansburg, VA formerly of Beckley, WV passed Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Andrea was born on January 27, 1980 in Beckley, WV to Gladys Marie Jones of Beckley, WV and the late Andrew Daniel Jones.

Andrea worked in the medical field for twenty years, and greatly enjoyed taking care of others.

Andrea, in addition to her father, was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, James and Mable Beard; paternal grandparents, Philip and Cleopatra Jones, and a loving cousin, James Jones Jr.

Andrea, in addition to her mother, leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Kelvin Lamont Thompson of VA; daughter, Taylee Marie Payne of VA; step-daughter, Myleah Ishay Thompson of VA; brother, Shaun Jones (Stasi) of Beckley; uncles, Charles (Donita) Beard, Robert Beard, both of Beckley, Michael (Kay) Jones of SC, and Bishop James (Delena) Jones of Beckley; aunts, Evelyn Jones, Carolyn Coats, Elder Yvonne Law, Cheryl (Raymond) Hutchens, all of Beckley, Phyllis (Paul) Honeycutt of NC, Dreama Hackett of IN, and Rhonda (Stanley) Dean of St. Albans; nephews, Kishaun Jones, Izaiah Jones, Raheem Bond, all of Beckley, and Jay-Ron Thompson of VA; nieces, Anika Thompson, Ke’Asia Thompson, and Brooklynn Thompson, all of VA; special cousins, Shay Jones of WV, and Mike Jones of VA; special friend, Azalia Thompson of Beckley and a host of other family members and friends.

Andrea will be remembered by her smile, being the life of the party, being optimistic, her selflessness, and most importantly her God-fearing spirit, and being her mother and daughter’s best friend.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Friday, November 4, 2022 at Heart of God Ministries 1703 S. Kanawha St., Beckley with Bishop James Jones officiating. Burial followed in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior.
