Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Annie Virginia Jones, 64, of Beckley, WV died Sunday, May 3, 2020. Born July 16, 1955 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Jasper W. and Virginia A. McDaniel Wise Sr. Annie was a member of St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, Beckley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jasper W. Wise Jr. and her grandson, Jonathan Woods.

Left to cherish precious memories are her most loved companion, Abner “Chuck” Wright Jr.; son, Gerald J. Jones Jr. of Beaver; daughter, Latonia R. Jones of Greensboro, NC; sisters, Patricia A. Pharms and Constance B. James, both of Beckley; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

Private graveside service will be 12:00PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens 5250 Robert C. Byrd Dr. Beckley with Rev. Debra Smoot and Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating.
