Obituary For Mrs. Artie Belle George Perkins

Mrs. Artie Belle George Perkins, 84, of Fayetteville, WV, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 at home. She was born in Calhoun County, WV.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Thomas Mickie Perkins; daughter, Rebecca Ann Perkins; brother, Charles Harlow George and sisters, Ava E. Stutler and Alta M. Starkey.

She is survived by her children, Donna Edgell, Donald Edgell and Doug Edgell; grandchildren, Emilee Baldwin, Elisabeth Edgell and Forrest Ellis and great-grandchildren, Caleb Baldwin, Makaylee Baldwin and Noah Baldwin.

She will always be remembered for her enduring love of all Western movies and TV, her feisty attitude towards life and her great enjoyment of reading and vegetable gardening. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be 12:00PM Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garten Rd, Fayettevlle, WV with Rev. Keith Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her name to The United Way of Southern WV, 110 Croft Street, Beckley, WV, (304) 253-2111.

    Donna, Donald and Doug Sorry for your loss and It grieves me that I won’t be able to be there with you all Aunt Artie was very special to me. I will always remember her smile and her soft voice she will be missed. My prayer is that God will give you strength and comfort at this sad time. My love and prayers to all.
