Mrs. Betty Jean Patterson, 90, of Hilltop, WV died Wednesday, December 25, 2019. Born April 11, 1929 in Mount Hope, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Ida Bell Abbott Walton Sr. In addition to her parents and husband, David L. Patterson Sr., she was preceded in death by brothers, William Walton Jr., Robert Walton and Herbert Walton; sisters, Mackey Quick, Anna Sickles and Eunice Bell. Left to cherish precious memories are her son, David Lorenza Patterson, Jr. of Hilltop, WV; daughter, Davida Lynette Zike of Waxhaw, NC; granddaughters, Brandi Nicol Patterson of Hilltop, WV, Meagan Nicholle Zike and Caitlin Ashleen Zike, both of Charlotte, NC and Brianna Alane Zike of Waxhaw, NC: great-grandson, Mathieu Franklin Zike of Waxhaw, NC; sister, Joan Maurice Chappelle of Huntington, WV; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Gilberta Patterson of Hilltop, WV and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at United Missionary Baptist Church 205 S. Fayette Ave., Mt. Hope with Rev. Walter Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
