Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Carol Jean Jones, 75, of Beckley, WV, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Charleston, SC.

Born August 15, 1943 in Alpoca, WV, she was the daughter of the late Edward Logwood and Eunice Fralin Nelson.

She attended Conley High, Mullens, WV.

As a young women, she moved from WV to Harlem, NY, where she owned her own drycleaning business. Later, she married Willis Jones and they had three children. Carol was the co-owner of the Triple T. Fish Market located in Beckley, WV. She was an avid sports fan, enjoying both football and basketball. Carol actively helped in the kitchen at New Hope Baptist Church and was an influential member in the beautification project of East Beckley.

Left to cherish precious memories are two daughters and one son, Tina (Kenywn) Jones-Nedd of Upper Marlboro, MD, Tony (Andrea Leigh) Jones of Columbus, OH, and Tamar (Ryan) Jones-Clements of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren, Aubree Nevaeh, Avery Simone, Addison Nicole, Myia Jade, Nico Johnson, Noah Charles and Zoie Olivia; two sisters Barbara Dalton of Rock Hill, SC and Elizabeth Daye of Beckley, WV; two brothers, Kennith and Michael Logwood, both of Beckley, WV and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00Noon, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church, 304 Worley Road, Beckley with Bishop Eunice Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley
