Mrs. Catherine Bradford, 97, of Harvey, WV died Sunday, February 23, 2020.

Mrs. Bradford was born November 4, 1922 in Laurel Bottom, WV to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Booker.

Mrs. Bradford, for over 50 years, was an active member of Harvey Missionary Baptist Church Harvey, West Virginia. She was a member of the usher board, (president), Sunday school superintendent, secretary of the mission, chairman of the kitchen committee, also a faithful member of the choir under former pastors Revs. William Chapman and Rev. Stanley Blanks.

Mrs. Bradford was a member of the New River District Ushers, Women Convention, New River District #3 Congress of Education, West Virginia Baptist State Women Convention Auxiliary, New River District Choir and Association Choir, former member of AARP Space for several years, member of Martha chapter #12 Order of Eastern Star for 24 years. Catherine love sports, wrestling, football, basketball, etc. She was employed at Oak Hill Hospital for 20 years. She loved to cook, she loved baking lemon pies, pound cake, rolls, sweet potato pie, etc.

Mrs. Bradford was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Leon Bradford; three daughters, Ruby Nation, Alice Harvey and Betty Bradford; seven grandsons; one great-granddaughter; five brothers; five sisters and three brothers-in-law.

Mrs. Bradford leaves to cherish precious memories are sons, Laughton Bradford and Benny Bradford of Harvey, WV and Gerry Bradford of Bradley, WV; daughters, Catherine Ross of Harvey, WV, Sammie J. Bradford, Cornelia Marks and Vickie O’Neal Ziglar, all of Flint, MI, Deborah Lucas of Oak Hill, WV and Melissa Bradford of VA; one sister, Joann Booker of Beckley, WV; brother-in-law, Rev. Perkins Johnson; 36 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; 90 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

Funeral service will be 12:00Noon Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Hilltop Baptist Center The Baptist Road Hilltop, WV with Rev Frank Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
