Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Channie Edmonia Buster, 87, of Beckley, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

Born February 8, 1931 in Winding Gulf, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Lee and Mattie Annie Taylor Adams.

She was a homemaker and member of The Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, James Austin and Robert Buster; brothers, Sylvester, Cleivester, Henry and John; sister, Clementine Witten; stepson, Sylvester Austin and granddaughter, Roshwan Austin.

Left to cherish precious memories are her grandchildren, Deonta Doss and Loleta Austin, both of Detroit, MI; sister, Virginia Loverine Whitlow of Skelton, WV; godchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Monday, October 8, 2018 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 S. Kanawha Street, with Rev. Thomas Moore and Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Ridge Care Assisted Living, 135 Antelope Lane, Princeton, WV 24740.
