Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Charlotte Lee "Honey" Martin, 91, Of Hilltop, WV died Thursday, January 25, 2018.

Born November 6, 1926 in Carlisle, WV she was the daughter of the late John and Lurena Edding Woods.

Charlotte was a retired cosmetologist and was a member and Mother of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, and Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Herbert Martin, Sr.; daughter, Letha Renee Martin, brothers, John Woods, Jr., and Steve Woods; sisters, Willa Mae Savage, and Elenora Woods.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her Gloria (Rev. Charles Sr.) Brown of Scarbro, WV; Theodore H. (Rita) Martin, Jr. of Clinton, MD, Johnny Angelo Martin of Beckley, WV, Elnora Loray Martin-Calhoun of Columbus, OH, Samuel Jerome Martin of Oak Hill, WV, niece, Geraldine Aikens of Newark, NJ, whom she helped raise; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral 1:00 PM Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Carlisle, WV, with Reverend Charles Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
