Obituary For Mrs. Cynthia Lucille “Cindy” Steelman
Mrs. Cynthia Lucille “Cindy” Steelman, 63, of Beckley, made her transition from this earth to her heavenly home on Friday December 18th, 2020.
“Cindy” was born January 20, 1957 in Raleigh County, she was the daughter of Ardelia Gore Brown of Beckley, WV and the late Ralph Scott.
“Cindy”, or “Lou” as she was affectionately called by her parents, siblings, and many of her closest friends, was a retired housekeeper for Days Inn and Sleep Inn. Mrs. Steelman was a member of Outreach for Christ Christian Center in Beckley WV. She loved God, her children, and her family more than life itself. She also loved endlessly and tirelessly playing her favorite games on her computer, going shopping with her sister Patricia every Saturday afternoon, eating her Fifth Avenue candy bars, and talking on the phone with her mother for hours at a time.
“Cindy” was also preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Steelman, and her brothers Winston “David” Scott, Beverly Alphonso “Jeep” Scott and George “Bug” Brown, special sister-in-law Joann Steelman, niece Latasha Steelman all of Beckley, WV and brother-in-law Rev. Robert Steelman of Toledo, Ohio.
“Cindy” leaves to cherish her memory her stepfather, George Brown; sons Clifton Montgomery, Jason Montgomery and special stepson Eddie (Shanell) Steelman Jr.; daughter, Jetia Montgomery; siblings, Patricia Walker and Joyce Logan; special brother-in-law, Richard Steelman, all of Beckley WV; brother-in-law, Rev. Thomas (Jean) Steelman of Mount Hope, WV; step-children, Ronnie (Juanita) Steelman, Donnie Steelman, Marvin Steelman, Frankie (Cynthia) Steelman and Aretha Steelman, all of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Keilanee Montgomery, Jae’sha Montgomery, Nisaiah Pryor, Jason Montgomery II, Jaliyah Montgomery and Trais Harshaw; caregiver, Carolyn Berry; special friends, Sharon Hairston, Julie King and Joneece Pendley; special niece, Octavia Campbell and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00PM Sunday December 27, 2020 at Outreach for Christ Christian Center 416 "G" St. Beckley with Rev. Thomas Steelman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, gloves, masks and social distancing will be required to attend the service.
