Obituary For Mrs. Deborah Charlene Mack Warner
Mrs. Deborah Charlene (Mack) Warner, 65, of Mullens, WV passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2022, with family by her side.
She was born to the late Rufus Mack and Loretta Dennis Mack on September 22, 1955, in Keystone, WV.
Deborah graduated from Conley High School in 1973 and studied Accounting at West Virginia State College. She married the late Ernest “Josh” C. Warner Sr. in 1976 and they lived together in Mullens, WV for thirty-three years.
Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Dennis Mack; father, Rufus Mack; brother, Ronald Mack; husband, Ernest “Josh” C. Warner Sr. and son, Marcus T. Warner Sr.
Deborah is survived by daughters, Erika Warner and Angela Warner, both of Columbus, OH; son, Ernest C. Warner Jr. of Beckley, WV; daughter-in-law, Cathiana B. Warner of Lexington, MA; sisters, Brenda Slade of Roanoke, VA, Gwen Cuffie of Princeton, WV and Sharon Stewart of Columbus, OH; brothers, Daniel Mack of Yonkers, NY, Gerald Mack and Lester Mack (Melvina), both of Beaufort, SC; 12 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Deborah was a woman of God, with unwavering faith and strength. She began her walk with the Lord early in life and stayed on a path that led her to being the meek, humble, and wise woman who let her light shine amongst us. Deborah was a member of Jesus Is Lord Ministries, where she oversaw the Helping Hands Ministry, and frequented First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Deborah was a faithful servant, who labored for the Lord. Because of her labor, we can speak for Deborah in saying, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up before me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all of them also that love his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Today, we celebrate Deborah’s life and the crown she has gained.
Deborah was a very kind, loving, and gentle soul. Few in words, but plentiful in action, her unconditional love spoke for itself, and it spoke loudly. She was the true definition of a nurturer, in all aspects of the word, and this is one of the special qualities she was most known for. Deborah mothered everyone, so much so that friends would often call her “mom”. She took this as a compliment and upheld this role, so sacred to her, with pride and passion. Deborah never shied away from being there for others. She was truly selfless, lending much of herself to those in need, and expected nothing in return. We were blessed to grow up with the most incredible role model. We will miss her smile, her laugh, her advice, and her bubbly personality. We will miss her cakes, pies, and home cooked meals that she managed to somehow marinade in love. She could bring calm and peace to any situation and even in her home-going, her love, light, and lessons live on. Each time someone says a kind word, lends a helping hand, or a listening ear, the Deborah we knew and loved shines through us and deepens the mark she gently made on this world in only a way she could.
Funeral service will be 12:00PM Monday, Feb 28, 2022 at Faith Temple of Deliverance with Bishop Bobby Tunstalle officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service.
