Obituary For Mrs. Deborah Yvette Alexander

Mrs. Deborah Yvette Alexander passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Beckley VA Medical Center in Beckley, WV where she resided for the last two years. Deborah was born February 12, 1951 in Whipple, WV to the late Bill Evans and Jimmie Lee Jones. Deborah was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. Shortly after high school she joined the United States Army where she met and married James William Alexander. Deborah lived life as best as she could through crocheting, reading, conversating and was an extreme animal advocate. She especially enjoyed spending time at family get-togethers. She helped many in time of need. Deborah had an amazing ability to reach people in a deep, positive and personal way. Deborah was a religious person who was faithful to her beliefs throughout her journey in life. In addition to her parents and husband, Deborah was preceded in death by brother, Stanley Lemar Lewis (Marty); grandparents, Everleanor Thomas and William Wooden; and W. B. Evans. Deborah leaves to cherish her memory, stepdaughter LaSonja Shea Hodo of Mississippi; brothers, Roy Anthony Jones, Raymond Dwayne Jones and James St. Clair Lewis; and a host of other relatives and friends. As per her request, she has been cremated and there will be no memorial service.
