Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Elizabeth "Annie" Blair, 67, of Beckley, died Friday, June 1, 2018.

Born August 3, 1950 in Wise County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Myra Stillwell Carnette.

She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Temple and Harold's Chapter 180 Eastern Star of Big Stone Gap, VA and worked as Operations Supervisor for the Social Security Administration.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jenny Blair; sister, Shirley Perry; brothers, Eugene Carnette, Sandy Carnette and grandson, DeVante Waites.

Left to cherish precious memories are her husband of forty-eight years, Robert "Bobby" Blair; son, Robert "Charlie Brown" (Myra) Blair of Tuscaloosa, AL; daughter, Toyao "Sissy" Andrews and friend, Michael Ogbuaku of Conyers, GA; brothers, Calvin "Jack" Carnette of Coeburn, VA, Joe Carnette of Knoxville, TN, Anthony (Chesteen) Carnette of Kingsport, TN and Johnny (Robin) Carnette of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Charlotte Brown of Coeburn, VA and Linda (David) Jordan of Fairfax, VA; grandchildren, Jordan Chambers Blair and Jalan Cochran, both of Charlotte, NC, Jade Chambers Blair of Atlanta, GA, Brian "BJ" Andrews, Jr. and Jaylin Andrews, both of Baltimore, MD, Alexandria Macmadu of Providence, RI, Tori Waner of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lindsay Bucchni of Rural Retreat, VA; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at St. Paul Baptist Temple, 129 Rice St., Beckley, with Rev. Walter Leach officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call from 6:00PM-9:00PM Friday, June 8, 2018 and one hour prior to the service at St. Paul Baptist Temple, Beckley.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Paul Baptist Temple and Shiloh Baptist Church.
