Condolence January 25, 2025 We are deeply saddened by the loss of your loved one, Sister Emma Elizabeth Young Burks. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Burks family. A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through us, they live on. It is doubly sweet at the close of a well spent life to turn one's face toward the sunset and quietly sink into the rest that knows no waking except in the presence of God. Such was the passing of Sis. Emma Burks. After a useful life Sis. Burks passed away to be with her Lord and receive her eternal reward. In appreciation of such a life and for the sake of those she loved, we, the members of New River Minister and Deacons Union feel it befitting to extend our deepest sympathy to her family and friends and to thank the heavenly father for her Christian Life. Until a few months ago, Cousin Emma and I talked by phone frequently. She was a loving and wonderful soul. I have known her from my childhood, when she and cousin Hollis would stop by our house to visit on Sunday afternoon. She was loving and kind. I will miss her.

We do not weep as those who have no hope. Keeping your family lifted up in light, love and prayer.
