Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Eunice Amanda Fralin Logwood Nelson, 89, of Beckley, died Friday, June 12, 2015.

Born January 7, 1926 in Stanaford, WV, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Maryland Hale Fralin.

Eunice lived in Beckley, WV for over 40 years working as a housekeeper. She was a Mother of the Glorious Church of God in Christ in Black Eagle, WV. In the late 80's she became an ordained minister and served as an assistant pastor. Upon Elder Phillip Jones death, she became the pastor until 2001. In 2001 she became a member of the Glorious Church of God in Christ in Mount Hope, WV. In 2008, she became a member of The House of Miracles of Beckley, WV under the leadership of Bishop Eunice Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Logwood and Albert Nelson; children, James Carlos Logwood and Marion Joyce Grant; seven brothers, William C., Lewis C., Robert L., Richard C., James Fralin, Eugene Scott and Kenneth S. Fralin; sisters, Margaret E. Beasley, Lorene Evans and Maryland Scott Ferguson and son-in-law, Willis Jones.

Eunice was blessed with four girls and three boys by the late James Edward Logwood.

Left to cherish precious memories are Carol Jones of Beckley, Kennith Carl Logwood of Beckley, Elizabeth Delois (Lewis) Daye of Beckley, Barbara Ann (Delbert) Dalton of Rock Hill, SC and Michael Dwayne Logwood of Beckley; sisters, Lucille (Cornice) Price of Forsyth, GA, and Dreama Fautoz of Harlem, NY; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00pm, Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 South Kanawha St. Beckley, with Bishops Fred T. Simms, John Grant, and Eunice Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
