Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Fran Allen, 57, of Mt. Hope died Thursday, February 2, 2017.

Born March 2, 1959 in Oak Hill, WV, she was the daughter Marion Scruggs and the late Odessa Adkins Scruggs.

She was a dedicated Child of God and Prophetess. She attended Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. Her smile was contagious, and her heart was gold. She was an outgoing, happy, amazing lady who left behind a true legacy.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by son, Blessing El-Shaddai Allen; grandmother, Bertha Scruggs; grandparents, Lucy and Linzy Adkins; sisters, Hope and Faith Scruggs and Paula Hurd; nieces, Tameka Scruggs-Walker and Tomasa Allen.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her loving husband of 41 years, Elder Leslie Allen; daughters, Kimberly Allen and LaTarsha Allen; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; father, Marion Scruggs; brothers, Keith (Tammie) Scruggs, Landon Scruggs, William (Emily) Hurd, and Marlon Hurd; sisters, Thelma Scruggs, Marion Scruggs, Joberta (Emmitt) Allen, Debra ôEstherö (Mike) Allen, Dana (Kalvin) Hurd-Cartwright and Donna Hurd; 5 Godsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00p.m.,Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Glorious Church of God in Christ, 421 Main Street, Mt. Hope, WV with Bishop John Grant and Elder Thomas Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2017 at the church.
