Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Geraldine Lash, 73, of Big Stick, died Monday, October 12, 2015.

Born May 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Eleanor Smith.

Mrs. Lash was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Rhodell for 20 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank and James Smith and sisters, Willa Alexander and Earnestine Smith.

Those left to cherish precious memories, are her devoted husband, of 25 years, Thomas Lash; sons, Melvin Smith and Robert Hurte, both of Beckley, and Leon Smith of Wisconsin; daughter, Willie (Brian), Minter of Dayton, OH; sisters, Beverly Watkins of Dayton, OH and Drucilla Smith of New York; brother, William (Shandra) Smith of Toledo, OH; step-children, Demetrius Carrol Way, Regina Myers of Connecticut, Calvin Jackson of New York, Linett Green of Beckley, Victoria Jackson of New York, Evette Pemberton and Leslie Cox, both of Beckley, Ricardo Cox of Florida, and Leonard Cox of California; grandchildren, Roger, Laporsha, Jasmine, Tiffany, Robbie, Janeak, Toottle, Keisha, and Bianca; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Rhodell Church of God, 7287 Coal City Road, Rhodell, WV with Rev. Calvin Moore Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
