Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

ECCLES ù Mrs. Gladys Lovella Smith, 88, of Eccles, died Thursday, November 19, 2015.

Born October 7, 1927, in Gary, WV, she was the daughter of the late Reverend William B. and Ginny Griffith Murrell.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Church of God in Christ MPG.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Smith; eight brothers and seven sisters.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her daughter, Toreeda Gist (Robert) Terrell; grandsons, Tyrone Clark and Melvin Folks; 17 grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Church of God in Christ MPG, 132 Old Turnpike Road, Harper Heights, WV, with Pastor Ruby Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
