Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Hazel Mae Johnson, 88, of Mt. Hope went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2016.

Born April 9, 1927 in Dunloup, WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Yula Mae Bradley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter P. Johnson; sisters, Viola Christian, Virginia ôPeachesö Bradley, Mable Woodson, Dorothy Henderson, and Rosalee Quinney; brothers, James, Robert, Frank and Charles Bradley; children, Rosalee, Lorine, Clarence Johnson and Jerlene Bass.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her children, William (Sandy), Lonnie (Renee) of Columbus, OH, Charles (Grace) of Philadelphia, PA, Johnny (Delores) of Beckley, Mary Brown (Noel), Irene Johnson of Mt. Hope, Annie (Robin) Williams of Huntington, WV; special childhood friend, Thelma Patterson; 33 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Glorious Church of God in Christ, 421 Main Street, Mt. Hope, with Elder Thomas Allen and Bishop John Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
