Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Helen Wiley, 89, of Lewisburg, WV died Tuesday, August 22, 2017.

Born July 1, 1928 in Lewisburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Richard Lewis and Anna Brown.

She worked as a caretaker, was a homemaker and member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where she served as past president of the Usher Board. she was also a dedicated member of the Tuesday and Saturday Night Prayer Warriors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred ôSlimö Wiley; three brothers and five sisters.

Left to cherish precious memories are her son, Steven (Fahima) Wiley Sr.; daughters, Brenda Sheffey and Linda (Larry) Baxter Sr.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 149 Foster Street, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Ronald L. Sherrod Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg.

Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the church.
