Mrs. Ila Y. Russell of Beckley, WV was born February 8, 1940, in JonBen, WV to the late Charles and Francis Rhodes.

Ila departed this life Friday, January 24, 2020 at Harper Mills Nursing Center, Beckley following a short illness.

Ila was united in marriage to the late Alfonzo J Russell on May 2, 1992. He preceded her in death October 7, 1992.

Ila was a member of United Apostolic Faith Church, Beckley District Elder Timothy Schofield, Pastor.

Ila was preceded in death by brothers Charles Jr., Eugene, Roosevelt, Garson, Donald and James and sisters, Edna Revels and Deliah Rhodes.

Ila leaves to cherish precious memories her sister, Shirlean (Phillip) Brown of Detroit, MI: sister-in-law, Brenda Rhodes of Beckley, WV and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor 748 S. Fayette St, Beckley WV with District Elder Tim Schofield officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.
