Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Irma Lucille Brooks, 92, of Beckley, died Monday, June 26, 2018.

Born February 11, 1926 in Rocky Mount, VA, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Fralin Webb.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Number One Choir, Mavola Order of Eastern Star, Daughter of Isis, WV State Baptist Ushers Federation and worked for Raleigh County Health Department.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Brooks; son, James Brooks; daughter, Virginia Brooks; granddaughter, Vanessa Brooks; maternal and paternal grandparents; brother, James Webb; sisters, Lillian Palmer and Bernice Webb.

Left to cherish precious memories are her children, William Brooks, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Jamaal Murphy and Juanita Ross, both of Beckley, Mildred Mason of Moreno Valley, CA; sister, Helen Wynes of Beckley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church, 304 Worley Road, Beckley with Rev. Alonzo Murphy and Rev. Charles Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call 6PM-9PM Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the funeral parlor.
