Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Isabelle F. Godfrey, 75 of Montgomery, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015.

Born August 23, 1940, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Oretha Simley. Preceding her in death are her husband, Otha; son, Charles; and brothers, Phillip Simley, Jr., Charles Simley, and William Simley.

She was a member of Eagle Central Baptist Church of Eagle, board member of the Morris Drive Watershed, and the Women's Club of the Church of Jesus Christ of Morris Drive.

Left to cherish precious memories are her daughter, Daisy and son, Phillip, both of Montgomery; brothers, Robert (Carolyn) Simley of Dallas, TX, James (Darlene) Simley of Detroit, MI; Richard (Cyndy) Simley, Wesley Chapel, Fla.; Troy (Carol) Simley of Deep Water, WV; sisters, Geraldine Thompson of Long Beach, CA, Sylvia Robinson and Deborah (Ike) Whiting and Frances (Larry) McGigor, all of Detroit, MI; nine grandchildren; ten great-grand-children.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Eagle Central Baptist Church, Montgomery with Reverend Richard Bullard officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Cemetery, Ingram Branch. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
