Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Janice Mae Moore, 73, of Beckley died Friday, February 9, 2018.

Born May 19, 1944 in Layland, WV, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Ruth Parks Kemp.

She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church, worked as a telephone operator and teacher at Millbrook Daycare.

In addition to her parents and step-father, Joe Wade, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odellas Moore, Sr.

Left to cherish precious memories are her sons, Rev. Odellas (Janice) Moore, Jr. of Mobile, AL and Corey (Mandy) Moore of Beckley; daughter, Kimberly (Kenneth) Moore-RolleÆ of NY, NY; sister, Phyllis Kemp of Bronx, NY; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law; one devoted Sandra Pickney; five brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Welcome Baptist Church, 206 Eighth St., Beckley, WV with Bishop David Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
