Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Johnnie Frances Watkins, 91, of Page, WV died Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Born February 18, 1926 in Leslie, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mattie Hamm.

Frances was a homemaker, a graduate of Simmons High School, and member and the mother of Great Emanuel Tabernacle Baptist Church, North Page.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Watkins; granddaughters, Chantel Wattie, and Domanique Watkins; grandsons, James Anthony Taylor, and Aaron Watkins.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her sons, John Watkins of Hershey, PA, Raefield Watkins of Columbus, OH and Michael Watkins of Page, WV; daughters, Priscilla Williams of Mt. Carbon, WV, Gloria Peake of Page, WV, Mary Franklin and Tammy Watkins, both of Atlanta, GA, Dr. Sharon Walker of Morgantown, WV, Ashley Watkins of East Bank, WV and Shannon Watkins of Ellenwood, GA; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Great Emanuel Tabernacle Baptist Church, North Page, WV with Rev. Terrance Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch, WV.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
