Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Juanita Garcia, 82, of Bronx, NY, formerly of Beckley, WV died Tuesday, February 2, 2016.

Born November 26, 1933 in Beckley, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Essie Morgan.

She received her education in the Beckley Public School System in West Virginia and in 1958, she relocated to the Bronx, New York.

She diligently worked for Building Services 32BJ in the Bronx for over 40 years, and was a member of the Little Mt. Calvary Miracle Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mae Morgan Thomas and brother, Phil Morgan.

Left to cherish precious memories are her daughter, Sheila Garcia of Washington, DC; sisters, Geneva (Allen) Thompson of Washington, DC; Doris Morgan of Beckley, WV; Agnes Morgan of Bronx, NY, Naomi (Melvin) Morgan Hines of Ashville, NC; brother, Raymond Morgan of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Sky Ministries 413 Maplewood Lane Beckley with Pastor William Fruit officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
