Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Judy A Carter Terry, 61, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022.

Born June 17, 1960 in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Julia Hill Timmons, Samuel Harbin, and stepfather, Sylvester Carter.

She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She had a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies, Bachelor of Science in Social and Behavioral Studies, an Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant, Certification in Business Technology, and Medical Specialty Certification in Phlebotomy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel Terry; grandmother, Barbara Timmons; brother, Hershel Timmons; sister, Martha Finney and niece, Yvette Cook.

Those left to cherish her memories are son, Rashaun A. Carter of Beckley, WV; daughters, Bridgette Gray of Beckley, WV and Tiara Carter of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Jerry Carter of Battle Creek, MI, Charles Hill and Tyrone Harbin, both of Beckley, WV; sisters, Letina Carter of Beckley, WV and Beatrice Hill of Beckley, WV; aunt, Helen Grooms of Kimberly, WV; grandchildren, ZaSheea’ Baker of Ayontii Carter, both of Alanta, GA, Daylon, and Justin Carter, all of OH and Brooklen Thompson of VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Paul Baptist Temple 129 Rice St. Beckley with Rev. Walter M. Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service
