Obituary For Mrs. Lucenda Marietta Nicholes

Mrs. Lucenda Marietta Nicholes, 68, of Mt. Hope, WV, died Friday, September 25, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Emergency Hospital. Born January 15, 1952 in Winifred, WV, she was the daughter of the late George Joseph and Emma Virginia Dues Lewis. Ms. Lucenda was a medical assistant and member of Faith Tabernacle Missionary Outreach for Christ Church, Fayetteville. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death are her husband, Ray; daughter, Lolita Freeman; brother, William “Billy” Lewis; sisters, Rochelle Coles, Hazel Lewis and Drucella Saunders; granddaughter, DaShoniece Nicholes and special friend, Robert Breckenridge. Left to cherish precious memories are her son, Calvester Ray (Melonie) Nicholes of Oak Hill; daughters, Tjuana Nicholes of Oak Hill; Stephanie (Robert) Underwood of Beckley; sister, Claudette Mills of Washington, DC; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00noon Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 S. Kanawha St., Beckley with Pastors Bryan Freeman and Sancerria Carroll. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch. Friends, while wearing gloves and masks and observing social distancing, may pay their respects to the family beginning at 11:00AM.
