Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Ms. Lucille Cleo Loving, 84, of Beckley, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley.

Born April 23,1935 in Summerlee, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alice Thompson, Landon Loving and step-father, Ennis Thompson.

II Timothy 4:6-7 For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith.

Mrs. Loving was a member of Sky Ministries Church. She will be remembered as a caring mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and devoted friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Loving, Paul Walker and Landon L. Loving Sr.

Left to cherish precious memories are her loving son, Landon C. (Rita) Loving of Minden; two brothers, Ennis (Janet) Thompson of Meridianville, AL and Timothy (Brenda) Thompson of Fayetteville, WV; six sisters, Ruth Greer, Carmen Slaughter, Jacqueline (Roger) Robinson and Joann Penn, all of Beckley; Vanessa Thompson of Upper Marlboro, MD and Yalonda (David) Hart of Fayetteville, WV; four grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Psalm 27:4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Sky Ministries 815 S. Fayette St., Beckley with Rev. William Fruit officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
