Mrs. Margaret Edna Gray, 100, of Mt. Hope, died Sunday, September 30, 2018. Born April 2, 1918 in Talcott, WV, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Clara M. Campbell Wynes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Gray. Those left to cherish precious memories are her daughters, Bonnie Lou (Mann) Brooks and Mary Edna Gray and former husband, Ronald Shelton; brother, Sylvester Wynes of Talcott, WV; sister, Catherine Stevens of Beckley; three grandchildren, Arthur “Bug” Young of Charlotte, NC, James “J.B.” (Monica) Brooks III of Mascotte, FL and Felisha Dawn (Henry) Schrader of Kilsyth, WV; great-grandchildren, Thronson Schrader and Christian, Cameron and Isaiah Brooks; three step-great-grandchildren, Juanito, Moses, and Lucus Arenas, all of Mascotte, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral service will be 12:00PM Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at United Missionary Baptist Church 205 S. Fayette Ave. Mt. Hope with Rev. Phillip E. Copney Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
