Obituary For Mrs. Martha Margaret Martin

Martha Margaret Martin resided at Plateau Oaks Drive, Oak Hill, WV.

Born January 30, 1930 in Besoca, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Tony and Maggie Hannah. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Martha loved to cook for her grandchildren and sing. She was known for helping others, singing, praying and being everyone’s mother and grandmother. She was a blessed, powerful and wise woman anointed with God. She was also a lifelong member of Outreach for Christ Christian Center, where she was a member of the choir and quartet. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Jethro Martin; four sons, Charles, Sonny, Jeff and Donnie; brother, Tony Nally; sisters, Louise Quinn and Elizabeth Johnson. Martha Martin departed this life on Thursday, April 15, 2021. She is survived by her four children, Deloris Martin of Harlem Heights, Dreama Ann Martin of Scarbro, Michael (Marquette) Martin of Orlando, Florida and Darlene Faith Martin of Oak Hill; 11 grandchildren, Lamar, Dreama, Candice, Mia, Markel, Bobby, Jeffrey, Teresa, Carmen, Chantea and Dawn; 12 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended spiritual children.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thurdsay, April 22, 2021 at Outreach for Christ Christian Center 416 G St. Beckley with Rev. Thomas Steelman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends, while wearing gloves and masks and observing social distancing, may view one hour prior to the service.

Remember: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. We loved her so but we rejoice because she is now at home.

    To my family my mother Dreama Martin, my auntie Darlene Martin, my aunt Lois, and uncle Mike. I love you all, and I know without a shadow of a doubt tht you all miss ur mother because I know for sure tht I miss my granny, but we got this she instilled strength into all of us. So now it's time for us to show her tht we got this and we goin to be just fine. I love you all and I know in a couple of weeks reality goin to set in again but we will be ok we will pull through this.. I love u granny my twin my rock and I miss u more than words can say...but I know u are in no more pain heartache, but I wish I could've been selfish and kept u with me I swear i would've took care of u Foreva.. but fly high my sweet angel until we meet again ur twin and heartbeat Candice Martin...

    To Sister Darlene, Minister Dreama and family, I just want to say how sorry I am about mother Martin passing and I want to thank you for sharing her with us, I will always think of her as my spiritual mother she gave me so much advice even before I said a word. I no we will miss her, but I no in my spirit that she will never be from us and she is rejoicing with the Lord. Hugs and kisses from sister Angie.

    Delores, Dreama, Mike and Darlene: Earth Has No Sorrow That Heaven Cannot Heal. Sorry for the loss of Aunt Martha. She was a woman that loved the Lord and she is now resting in his presence and loving arms. 91 years that the Lord granted her favor. We will see her in the morning over in Glory.
