Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mary Elizabeth ôSisterö Carson Benson, 86, of Oak Hill, W.Va. died Thursday, November 5, 2015.

Born in Sharples, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Sr., and Gladys Carson.

She was a member of the Welcome Baptist Church, Beckley.

Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Yolanda Wright Robinson, son, David Benson Jr., and brothers, William Carson, Sr., Arthur Carson, Jr., and Torrence Carson.

Left to cherish sweet memories are her seven grandchildren, Marlene (James) Hackett, Ph. D. of Cross Lanes, Margaret (Martin) Njoku of Beckley, Marvin Wright, Jr. of Maineville, OH, David Benson, III, Darron Benson, Darrell Benson, and Desiree Benson, all of Allentown, PA; eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1pm Monday, November 9, 2015 at Welcome Baptist Church 206 Eighth St. Beckley with Bishop David Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friend may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
