  To the Children, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and Great-Great-Grandchildren of our beloved Queen Mother, Mrs. Mildred Cross: It is with a deeply heavy yet grateful heart that I extend my sincerest condolences to each of you on the passing of your extraordinary matriarch. For the past 70 years of my life, she was far more than a neighbor to me—she was a guiding presence, a steady voice of wisdom, and a woman whose love helped shape who I am today. In many ways, she helped raise me, and I will forever be thankful for the care, discipline, laughter, and lessons she so freely gave. To live 105 years is a remarkable blessing, but even more remarkable is how she lived those years. She was truly a queen mother—strong, nurturing, graceful, and steadfast. Through her life, she built not only a family, but a legacy that now lives on through generations upon generations. Each of you carries a part of her spirit, her strength, and her love. Her impact reaches far beyond bloodlines. She touched neighbors, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The values she stood for—faith, family, resilience, and compassion—will continue to echo through the lives of those she leaves behind. As you grieve, I hope you also find comfort in knowing how deeply she was loved and how profoundly she mattered. Her life was full, her work was meaningful, and her legacy is secure. May you find peace in cherished memories, strength in one another, and comfort in the knowledge that she lived a long, beautiful life, well done.
