Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mildred "Mickey" Taylor, 77, of Charlotte NC, formerly of Beckley, died Sunday, October 30, 2016.

Born March 30, 1939 in Besoco, WV, she was the daughter of the late James and Mabel Poole English.

She worked as a Custodial Engineer at Heartland Nursing Facility, Beckley Hospital and Raleigh General Hospital and was a member of Outreach for Christ Christian Center, Beckley, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Wicks; son, Charles W. Taylor II; brother, Lewis A. Bitting; sisters, Gladys J. English and Georgianna V. English; and first husband, Charles W. Taylor.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her daughter, Ramonia Taylor-Carr of Concord, NC; step-daughters, Barbara (Norman) Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD, Sherry Clements of Beckley, WV, Debbie Giles of Odenton, MD and Michelle (Kennedy) Ayers of Temple Hill, MD; brothers, Larry (Jean) English of Beckley, WV, Ernest (Reta) English of Warrensville Heights, OH, Brady English of Bluefield, WV; sister, Paulette English of Beckley, WV; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Friday November 4, 2016 at Outreach for Christ Christian Center, 416 "G" Street, Beckley WV, with Rev. Thomas Steelman officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
