Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Minnie Hoskins Bowles, 88, of Beckley died Thursday, October 25, 2018.

Born July 22, 1930 in Fireco, WV, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Robertson and Vinnie Carter.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for more than fifty years and retired from Beckley Hospital with twenty-three years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Hoskins and Thomas Bowles and sisters, Juanita Robertson, Mary Bruce, Robin Wilson, Sandra Rhodes and Doris McCray.

Left to cherish precious memories are sons, Roderick (Dorothy) Robertson of Jacksonville, FL, Larry Hoskins and Bobby (Rudzetta) Hoskins, both of Beckley, Charles (Saundra) Hoskins of Hampton, VA and Paul (Regina) McCray of Newport News, VA; brothers, James E. Robertson of Carson CA and Cedric Robertson of Beckley; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Wednesday October 31, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church, 304 Worley Road, Beckley with Rev. Nathaniel Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
