Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Nancy Gray Haley, 74, of Beckley, died Friday, July 13, 2018.

Born July 31, 1943 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late James Patrick and Ruth Hildren Canterberry.

Nancy was a clerical worker and a valued member of Memorial Baptist Church, where she enjoyed praising the Lord.

Nancy had a zest for life and a love for God, never meeting a stranger. She was a kind soul willing to give the shirt off her back to a complete stranger and was an amazing and loving mother, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William "Pete" Haley and brother, James L. Canterberry.

Left to cherish precious memories are her son, George L. (Stephany A.) Canterberry; grandsons, George L. Canterberry Jr. and Luke A. Canterberry and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be 7:30PM Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel, 748 S. Fayette St., Beckley, with Dr. Charles Bright officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
