Obituary For Mrs. Norma Lee Dues Anderson Smith

Ms. Norma Lee Dues Anderson Smith, 77, of Beckley, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

Born December 2, 1941 in McAlpin, WV, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Annie Dues.

Sister Smith was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Evangelist. She retired from Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital and was an active member of the Church of God of MPGT for 25 years. Serving in the capacity of a minister, Sister Smith prepared and presented sermons during the National Church Conferences. She actively served and retired from the following positions in this church location; President of the Missionary Board, President of the Mothers Board and member of the Church Ministerial Staff; in addition to faithfully preparing homemade rolls for church activities.

Left to cherish precious memories are three sons; George (Florence) Anderson Jr. and Clarence R. (Carol) Anderson both of Colorado Springs, CO and Gabriel Anderson of Charleston, WV; three brothers, Elder William (Alberta) Dews of Tulsa, OK; Richard E. (Josephine) Dews of Camden, DE and Andrew (Esther) Dews of Plainfield, NJ; five sisters-in-law; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Heart of God Ministries 1703 S. Kanawha St. Beckley with Assistant Pastor Nina Moore and Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

    Words can not express how I feel about the passing of Mother Norma Smith. We worked together on the National Mother's Board for MPG of Truth. She will be greatly missed. Rest in the arms of Jesus. Another solider finished her race. Mother Marion Wells Lorain, Ohio
