Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Patricia Lynn Patterson's love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. She was a mother to all who knew her, a realist, and an inspiration. Patricia left this world way too soon on July 5. 2023 at 3:49AM after a courageous, yet short battle with an aggressive cancer.

She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and thanking God for every day.

Patricia graduated high school from Woodrow Wilson and went to college for Criminal Justice. She also went back to college and got her Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Patricia's true love and passion was her kids and grand babies, they were truly her everything. She felt as though her greatest achievement in life was being a grandmother and nothing in this world made her happier.

Anyone who knew Trish knew she was a family person. The simplest pleasures in life brought her great joy. She loved evenings with her kids, grand babies, and best friend. She loved cooking for them and having them around. Patricia never missed a soccer, basketball, football or any other game. She was truly Gods Angel on Earth. Her pleasant yet realistic personality was contagious to everyone she met and she knew how to make anyone smile.

Patricia was met in heaven by her mother, Gloria Patterson; father, Artie Bolling and sister Pamela Atkins.

Patricia is survived by her son, Davide Hudson Jr; daughters, Nikkita and Shawnique Hudson; grandchildren, Shawn and Shawnique Il Hudson, DeVan Jr. Khalil and Alani Blaney, JaMya and JaMarques Manns; brothers, Alphonso and Artie; sisters, Sharon and Vonnie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Tuesday July 25, 2023 at Heart of God Ministries
1703 S. Kanawha St. Beckley with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.

Friends may view and visit with the family one-hour prior.
