Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Polly Ann Williams, 68, of Colcord, WV, died Saturday, November 7, 2015.

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8.

Born August 8, 1947, in Charleston WV, she was the daughter of the late Bill Thompson and Deena Thompson Patterson.

Polly was a true Christian in every sense of the word. She was given the gift of love and she loved everyone she met. She loved to fish, camp, cook, garden, and collect rocks.

In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her two grandchildren, Andrew and Tesla Smith.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her husband, Alan Roy Williams of Sycamore; son, Michael Smith and wife, Lahoma; grandson, Matthew; granddaughters, Destiny and her partner, Lyndsay, and Alexis; stepson, Eric Alan Williams and partner, Richard Williams; step grandchildren, MaKayla, Chris, and Kyle Williams; stepson, Jared Michael and wife, Emily; step grandchildren, Jaden Woods, Noah and Brooklyn Williams; stepsister, Carlla Patterson; nephew, Jonathan; niece, Cherish; cousin, Ann, who has stuck by her through the years and most importantly in her final days of her life; lifelong friend, Peachie, who supplied faithful love and support; and a host of extended family and friends who knew her as "Granny" that will truly miss her ù Special thank you to all the ladies of the community who helped our family and brought in food and many prayers.

As per her wishes, Polly was cremated and will have her ashes spread in all her favorite places.
