Obituary For Mrs. Quetta Tyree Muzzle
Quetta Tyree Muzzle, native of Charleston, WV, daughter of Walter Jefferson and Eulalia Peeks, exhausted her earthly destiny on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.
Accomplished in a myriad of fields and disciplines, Quetta utilized her strengths and skills to serve her family, community and state. Her tough yet unconditional love pushed her to the top of academia, as the vice-president of student affairs at the City College of San Francisco. Her passion for service also forged a path to the governorÆs cabinet in West Virginia state government. In her off-time, she played piano for several churches over the course of five decades. She was a proud member of Simpson United Methodist Church and cultivated many relationships with the congregation.
Quetta is survived by her son, Allen Muzzle, brother, John Rogers, nephews, Jason Napier, Nathan Rogers, Jason Rogers, Jonathan Rogers, and a large, loving extended family. She is joining her husband, parents and brother in Heaven.
Memorial service will be 3:00PM Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Simpson United Methodist Church 607 Shrewsbury St. Charleston with Rev. Felicia Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the YWCA WomenÆs Shelter 1426 Kanawha Blvd E, Charleston, WV 25301.
