Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Rachel Evette Wright, 59, of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Raleigh General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born July 17, 1957 in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of Marinda Jackson Wright of Oak Hill, WV and the late Lenwood Wright, Sr.

Rachel retired from the WV Turnpike, due to illness, as a toll collector after 19 years, where she had countless friends. She was a member of Heart of God Ministries.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by nephew, Cedric Wright.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her son, Montario (Jessica) Wright of Oak Hill, WV; grandchildren, Mason Wright, Liam Wright, and Kaylee Cook; brothers, Lenwood Wright Jr. of Oak Hill, WV and Michael Wright of Greensboro, NC; sisters, Patricia Wallace of Hill Top, WV, Debra Wallace and Marinda ôBunnyö Wright, both of Oak Hill, WV and Rena Wright and Pamela Bullock, both of Greensbobo, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, with Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
