Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Ramona Elizabeth Cosby Saunders, 66, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

Born January 3, 1951 in Whipple, WV, she was the daughter of the late Morris Henry Williams and Juanita Cosby Nicholes.

Ramona was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garten, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents; one sister and two great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her husband, Lawrence Saunders; children, Kelly Cosby, Carlos (Lori) Cosby, Tina Cosby and Doris Bowles, all of Oak Hill, WV, Antwan (Sabrina) Saunders of Germany and Yvette (John) Washington of Lawrenceville, GA; brothers, Hudson Nicholes of NC, Walter Saunders of New Jersey, John Saunders of Cedar Grove, WV, and Billy Williams of Charleston, WV; sisters, Gina Nicholes of Maiden, NC, Kemily (Kurt) Cook of Columbus, OH, Virginia Byrdsong and Linda Saunders, both of Cedar Grove, WV and Ann Williams of Charleston, WV; 23 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Garten, WV with Rev. Keith Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley, WV.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
