Obituary For Mrs. Rosetta Teresa Swain
Mrs. Rosetta Teresa Swain, 71, of Beckley, died Friday, February 26, 2016. Born August 25, 1944 in Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late James and Annie Moore.
A 1962 graduate of Stratton High School, she was a member of Welcome Baptist Church and worked as a caregiver.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonso Swain; brother, Jessie James; sisters, Geraldine Moore and Delores Wright. Those left to cherish precious memories are her son, James Swain; daughters, Priscilla Swain and Benita (Oliver) Bradley, both of Beckley; brothers, James (Sally) Moore of Mooresville, NC and Charles Moore of Beckley; sisters, Loretta Pryor of Beckley and Barbara Pate of Oak Hill; three grandchildren, Brandon, Oliver Jr. and Alexis; and one great-granddaughter, Ayonti; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00PM Friday, March 25, 2016 at Welcome Baptist Church, 206 Eighth Street, Beckley with Rev. William Fruit, Bishop David Allen, Rev. Phillip Copney Sr., and Rev. Charles Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
