Obituary For Mrs. Shirley Sue Wilborne Frazier

Mrs. Shirley Sue Wilborne-Frazier, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 21, 2019 while at home with her husband, Clarence and her niece, Wanda.

She was born October 23, 1941 in Scooba, Mississippi to Walter Brown and the late Essie Mae Pennington. She moved to Ingram Branch, WV at an early age. She received her education in the Fayette County public school system. She was elected as one of the elite students to attend Dubois Junior High School, Mount Hope, WV and she later attended and graduated from Collins High School in Oak Hill, WV. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. While living in WV, she met her first love at the age of 12, the late Deacon (SFC) Ronald A. Wilborne and was united in marriage on September 11, 1965; he preceded to her in death on September 17, 1997. From this union they were blessed with three children Dwayne, Dreidre and Derek.

Shirley gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She attended Ingram Grove Baptist Church until she relocated to Greentown, WV. She attended Greentown Missionary Baptist Church until she married Ronald and the army took them abroad. They later settled in Glen Burnie, MD, where she continued her walk in Christ at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Pastor Pierre German. While in attendance, she served on the usher board. Ushering for the Lord was her joy and giving the welcome to newcomers. The Lord led them to New Life International Ministries also known as New Life Fellowship Baptist Church under the pastorage of Bishop Abraham Shanklin, where she carried on as an usher until she moved back to WV and re-join Greentown Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Pastor Essie Ford Jr. after the Lord called Ronald home. Shirley loved the Lord and could quote the books of the Bible forward and backwards. She practically new almost every scripture.

After losing her first love, she was blessed to fall in love for the second time to Clarence E. Frazier. After marrying Clarence on November 12, 2011, she became a faithful and devoted member of Elam Baptist Church of Temple Hills, MD under the pastorage of Pastor Rodney E. Ruffin until God whispered in her ear and called her home. Shirley always said, “That it was rare to fall in love with one great man and marry him, but the Lord has truly blessed her with two.” She referred to him as “Her Sweetie” and he referred to her as his “Rose”.

Shirley’s heart was centered around her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the times that the family was gathered together in love. She taught them to keep God in the center of everything they did, to love one another, cherish family, how to cook, life lessons and to take a stand for what they believed in or wanted. Anyone that knew Shirley loved her and has a memory that they have experienced. She was a loving, caring vital part of their family.

Shirley was preceded in death on August 4, 2008 by her son, Dwayne L. (Kamili) Wilborne of Glen Burnie, MD. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband Clarence E. Frazier of Fort Washington, MD; daughter, Dreidre M. (Gilbert) Cuffey of Glen Burnie, MD; son Derek A. (Latisha) Wilborne of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren; Rashaun Corbin (Brittany), Devon Wilborne, Kei-Andre Wilborne, Ronald Wilborne and Bella Wilborne; great-grandchildren, Keiana Wilborne, Madelyn Wilborne, Rashaun Corbin Jr., and Jeremiah Wilborne; brother, Walter Brown of Harlem, NY; niece, who she helped raise, Wanda (Andres) Hill of Bronx, NY; Godson, Valous Haywood; God-granddaughter, Taylor Reed and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00am, Tuesday, October 30, 2019 at New Fellowship International Ministries, 1331 Ashton Road Suite F, Hanover, MD 21076 with Bishop Dr. Abraham Shanklin officiating.

Graveside service will be 12:00pm, Friday, November 1, 2019 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill with Rev. Essie Ford Jr. officiating.
