Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Mrs. Tessie Norma Jean Wade, 78, of Glen White, WV passed Friday, October 31, 2025.

Tessie was born December 23, 1946 in Tams, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harrien Jackson and Naomi Ruth Branch Jackson.

Tessie was employed as a CNA at Beckley Hospital.

Tessie was a former member and of Shady Grove Baptist Church (where she served as treasurer) and New Hope Baptist Church.

Tessie had a passion for fashion. Walking out of her favorite store, she often carried bags full of clothes, purses, and shoes. After stashing her new items in the back of her closet, she would forget about them—only to purchase the same things just days later. Shopping wasn’t her only interest; she also enjoyed travelling, fishing, and tending to her beautiful garden.

Tessie, in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by brothers, Harry, Walter, and Harrien Jackson and sisters, Majorie Clark, Doretha Dodson, Ruth Davis, Priscilla Simpson, and Allie Jackson,

Tessie leaves to cherish precious memories her husband, Charles Wade; daughter, Senta Pearson; stepdaughter, Pamela Wade; grandson, Malik Pearson; granddaughters, Teresa, Michelle, Seniqua, Teiria, and Essence Pearson; great-granddaughter, Nichelle Pearson; special niece, Kimberly Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
