William Austin "Chucky" Simon, 45, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Beckley, died Friday, September 16, 2016.

Born February 2, 1971 in Beckley, WV, he was the son of Rudolph "Chuckie" and Joann Cousins Simon of Beckley.

He worked as a Security Officer, an EMT for Jan Care Ambulance, was a member of Alpha Breed Motorcycle Club, and former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death are his paternal grandparents, Robert and Annie Duren; maternal grandfather, Carl Cousins; maternal great-grandmother, Lucy Carey Cousins; father-in-law, Ronald Lafferty and uncle, James Cousins.

Left to cherish precious memories are his wife of 17 years, Angie Lafferty Simon of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters, Nicole, Mikayla, and Makenzie Simon, all of Myrtle Beach, SC; sons, Jacob Beavers of Welch, WV, and Josh Lafferty of Beckley, WV; sisters, Veronica (Hugh) Perry, Anne Benn, and Lashima Simon; grandmother, Mary Cousins; mother-in-law, Lucy (Ted) Lilly; step-mother- in-law, Carol Lafferty; 3 grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Welcome Baptist Church, 206 Eighth Street, Beckley with Bishop David Allen and Pastor Greg Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
