Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

HARLEM HEIGHTS - Audrey Gay Board, 58, of Harlem Heights, WV, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015.

Born December 15, 1956, in Oak Hill, WV, she was the youngest child of eleven born to the union of the late Rev. David Edward Board Sr. and Flossie Gay Goard Board.

Audrey was a special person with a loving heart and a quiet spirit. Audrey was cared for by our stepmother, Bernice Board, for many years. We the family are extremely grateful, and we praise God for BerniceÆs love and devotion given to her. AudreyÆs favorite song was ôAmazing Graceö and we thank God for his grace which allowed her to be with us for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Robertson, and brother, Paul Board.

Left to cherish her memories are her stepmother, Bernice Board; three brothers, David (June) Board, of Charleston, WV, Rodney (Mary) Board of Cleveland, OH, and Mark (Valerie) Board of Hurricane, WV; seven sisters, Alice Freeman of Tamerac, Florida, Daisy Siner and Brenda Hosea, both of Cleveland, OH, Diann Scott of Forestville, MD, Edna (Leroy) Lanier of Clinton, MD, Darlene (Charles) Ingram of Dunbar, WV, and Lisa Board-Banks of Oak Hill, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12 noon Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Harlem Heights with Pastor Charles Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
