Ms. Beneta “Rita” Marie Branham, 55, of Beckley WV died Friday, February 4, 2022.

Born December 19, 1966 in Beckley WV, she was the daughter of the late Erverlene Branham

Rita graduated class of 1987 from Woodrow Wilson High School. She was a long-time employee of the Corner Store and would greet you accordingly. She then began to work independently doing child-care and was also a self-taught hair stylist. She was passionate about her cooking and did everything from memorization. She always looked forward to the holidays to prepare food for family, friends and anyone who would stop by.

Left to cherish precious memories are her son, Phillip Branham of Columbus, OH; daughters, Tashaira Branham of Charlotte, NC and Abrayshia Branham of Beckley, WV; brothers, Benjamin Branham of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Dwayne Brown of Beckley, WV, and James (Tanya) Branham of Charlotte, NC ;sister, Teresa (Todd) Branham-Thomas of Beckley, WV; grandchildren, Jalena Wallace, Ameiya Branham, Aameir Branham, Sinah Branham, and Zahra Sullivan; nieces, Jasmin, Mary and Alexis; nephews, Adam, Semaj, Taiyeah, Zephaniah and Jarren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Welcome Baptist Church 206 Eighth St. Beckley with Bishop David Allen officiating.

Friends, while wearing masks and observing social distancing, may view and visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral service.
