Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Ms. Carol Edwards, 76, of Beckley, died Friday, October 28, 2016.

Born May 29, 1940 in Sandy Level, VA, she was the daughter of the late Reuben Edwards Sr. and Nora Mae Toler Edwards.

She worked as a nursing assistant at Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC and was a member of First Baptist Church of North Beckley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Lee Sr.; son, Karl Edwards Pugh Sr.; brothers, Nathaniel Edwards, Emmett Edwards and Vernon Edwards

Those left to cherish precious memories are her sons, Calvin (Tracy) Lee Jr. of York, PA and James Franklin (Brenda) Lee of Bowie, MD; brothers, Robert Edwards, of Oxon Hill MD and Reuben Edwards of North Beckley, WV; sisters, Loraine Mayo of North Beckley, WV and Gladys (Robert) March of Largo, MD; 12 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at First Baptist Church of North Beckley, 110 Ellis Street, North Beckley, WV with Rev. John Burnette and Rev. Nathaniel Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
