Obituaries – Their Stories Live On

Denise Helena Price, 53, our loving mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 25, 2019, peacefully at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, after her courageous fight with Breast Cancer.

Denise was born March 25, 1966 in Montgomery, WV. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, David L. Grubb and Wanda L. Perry and brother, David C. Perry.

Denise was a member of the Oak Hill High School marching band and graduated with honors from Oak Hill High School in 1984.

Denise was the small business owner of Hang Loose Tanning, a popular tanning salon in Oak Hill. In 2011, the salon was closed due to her fight with breast cancer. In the coming years, while she was in remission, she worked at Bath and Body, Fit for A Queen, Justice and Cato’s Fashions.

Denise loved many things in life, but her family and friends were her passion. She touched the lives of so many with faith, love, compassion, integrity, leadership, generosity, strength, positivity, and understanding. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. In 2018 the cancer returned and metastasized in her bones and brain. November 25, 2019, the world lost a beautiful woman who will be greatly missed by so many.

Sweet Denise is survived by her three children; Francesca Perry, Travis Price, and Gregory Price; two grandchildren; David Perry and Anita Alfing; siblings, Sherry Murphy, Mark Perry, and Matthew (Danial) Perry and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Service will be 5:15PM Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Fayetteville United Methodist Church 120 High St. Fayetteville, WV with Pastor Jeff Dailey and Pastor Rick Crawford officiating.
